A fun, simple project that goes together quickly with a good result!  This is the other quilt that Jennifer finished the quilting on last week.  I just finished the binding.  It is made from nine patch squares that are cut horizontally and vertically and then rearranged. Another good friend and quilter, Shannon, brought this idea to our quilt group about a year ago - and I just got at it! As you can see, we got some snow again so I am thinking Christmas! This table runner is a Christmas gift.  One down!  Instructions

This is our favorite meal salad and I have been promising the recipe to my sister Kris! It's great!

Chicken Wild Rice Salad

1 cup dry measured wild rice
2 whole chicken breasts - cooked and cut in bite size pieces
3 cups black or purple grapes
1 bunch green onions - chopped
1/2 cup slivered almonds
3 stalks celery sliced
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 cup mayonnaise
salt to taste

Cook wild rice until light and fluffy. (I use 8 cups of water and simmer it for 50 minutes) Cool and drain.
Combine all in ingredients in large bowl.  Stir to mix well.  Enjoy!!

Just heard from a friend with whom we shared a big bowl of the wild rice salad when I made it. He said it was the best salad he ever had and sat down and ate the whole bowl in one sitting! How's that you a recommendation??
